The Cool Hunter??

This isn't some shameless advertisement, or some sort. This site really is awesome. Founded by Bill Tikos...

"The Cool Hunter celebrates creativity in all of its modern manifestations. The Cool Hunter is not a trend-spotter, trend-watcher or trend predictor."

- Bill Tikos, Founder of The Cool Hunter

If that cute citation didn't work, The site is essentially an overview on what creative juices are going on in the world, whether it be design, architecture (both are my favorites), art, travel, fashion, ads, bars, food, transportation, treelife... you get the picture. I normally use this site, as well as others, as an inspiration gatherer. When I need that extra push within my design, or when I just need to get my creative juices flowing, I look at what others are doing around the world and apply some of their ambitiousness within my workflow, and it hasn't failed me yet!

Outside of TCH, Bill Likos operates ACCESS Agency, an advertising agency (duh..) that normally seeks out the most extraordinary of creative opportunities for clients needs. They're creating a Nike ad that is simply breathtaking, if I do say so myself. What I do like, is that they want a client that values creativity and aesthetics as much as the message that the overall composition is trying to convey. They like bold, clean, and concise, which is just the way I like my design (at times).

Earlier in my degree, I've learned that networking is the 2nd (or 1st, depends on you) most powerful and important entity of success for a designer. If you can network, if you can get your work out there, then you have a limitless realm of opportunity set for you. With that said, I have learned alot about Artists and Graphic Designers that I didn't know about beforehand, and normally, I contact the Artist via email, and tell him thanks a lot. You don't know how far a thanks can go.
